So since we happen to have an (ugly) sunroom attached to the house, we decided to put it to use and plant a garden from seeds. I can't believe how fast the plants are growing! This picture was taken a few weeks ago and the plants have grown like crazy since then. They might be giant by the time they are ready to be put in the ground! The girls think we're crazy when they catch Chris and me talking to our little baby plants!
This is what we planted:
Tomatoes-Better Boy
Tomatoes-Big Boy
Cucumbers-Burpless
Bell Peppers (only two little baby sprouts so far...don't know what's taking them so long!)
Yellow Squash
Zucchini
Banana Squash
Spaghetti Squash
Pumpkins
So if any of you want/need any veggie plants, I am going to be selling them for $1.00/plant. I'll probably put a sign out in the front yard tomorrow for the ones that are big enough already. But just know that they are not ready to be planted outside yet! Wait until after Mother's day!
My friend Traci helped me to create a square foot garden and I can't wait to plant it! I'll take pictures after I plant it & post them. It's a really neat concept. It just better be worth the 50 bucks that I spent on dirt.
