Samantha got her cast on July 27th. She asked for stripes and since she was a "special" case and had to be seen by her surgeon, Dr. Holmes (pictured on the right), instead of in the standard bone clinic, they agreed. But they told us to hide her cast as we left the hospital and not to tell anyone where she got such a special cast! She is scheduled to get the cast taken off on August 21st...just three days before school starts.
After we got the cast, I took the girls to Hogle Zoo. Melanie, Preston and Carter met us there. (Notice Carter's little blue cast in the pictures).
Oh, and a little more crazy, bone breaking news... Our other cousin Indianna broke a bone in her hand the same weekend that Sami and Carter broke theirs. So she's also wearing a cast right now. Here is an adorable picture of her at Sami's birthday party, the day before she got her cast.
